In the third quarter of 2024, the carpooling and ridesharing app market in Peru experienced significant activity, with the top apps showing varied performance trends. Data from Sensor Tower provides insights into the weekly downloads, active users, and revenue generated by these apps on the Android platform.

Yango — different from a taxi saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads, which surged from approximately 55K at the beginning of July to over 82K by the end of September. This growth in downloads was mirrored by a rise in weekly active users, climbing from 188K to 243K over the same period. The app's weekly revenue remained minimal, peaking at $2 in August.

inDrive. Save on city rides maintained a steady download rate, initially recording around 60K weekly downloads, with a notable peak of 79K in late July before stabilizing around 51K towards the end of the quarter. The app's active user base was robust, averaging around 680K throughout the quarter.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides experienced a gradual decline in weekly downloads, starting at 17K and decreasing to approximately 13K by the end of September. Despite this, the app saw an upward trend in active users, increasing from 319K to 351K over the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride had a fluctuating download pattern, with numbers ranging from 10K to 17K throughout the quarter. However, the active user base remained relatively stable, with a slight increase from 800K to 829K.
